Leaping

Today, I started my conversion to Windows 7.

On my home server.

The one where all the family photos are kept.

Now, before you go and start wishing me your deepest condolences...let me just say that everything is proceeding along quite swimmingly. I haven't had any driver hiccups - in fact, I haven't had to load ANY drivers at all, so far.

I will also point out that I'm running the 64-bit version of Win 7 and I love how my PC is keeping up with me. Even my VMWare configuration is running (switching the individual virtual machines to Windows 7 will take some time).

I still have to load the "heavy" applications: SAM (with mysql), Photoshop, and Emerald.

..but I can count myself as being 64-bit now, taking advantage of all 4gigs of my RAM.

Yeah...windows 7 was suprisingly easy. It is after all, a Microsoft OS :P

Glad to hear it's going smoothly. I didn't even have to install drivers for a 10 year old scanner I hooked up to my PC. I have 6 gigs of RAM now and my pc doesn't even blink at PS, SAM and SL all on at the same time.
